This is our director’s cut of our ALIEN: 40th Anniversary Short. This whole endeavor was an immense labor of love and I wanted to praise everyone who helped us make this film possible. The Last Good Country portrays the ambiguous origins of Ernest Hemingway and his transformation into one of the most prolific writers/icons the world has ever known. After returning from WWI in Milan, shaken by injury, and shut out by the woman he loved, Hemingway travels to the Upper Peninsula to discover what kind of man he is meant to be.
These events would eventually become the inspiration for his Nick Adams tales.
